Collection: BioTabs Fertilizers: Organic Fertilizer Tablets & Soil Activators – Water-Only System

BioTabs Fertilizer - "Water Only" Organic Fertilizing, Without a Daily Feeding Schedule

BioTabs is an organic fertilizing system consisting of slow-release tablets and soil activators. You prepare the substrate once, insert the tabs – and then for weeks you can largely relax and just water. Ideal for anyone who wants it to be simple, clean, and reliable (even with automatic irrigation).

  • Quick & complete start: Starter Box / Perfect Plant Pack (everything important in one set)
  • The basics: BioTabs (tablets) + Startrex (soil activator) + Mycotrex/Bactrex (microbe support)
  • For an extra boost: Orgatrex (liquid) and Bio PK 5-8 (flowering booster) as needed

How BioTabs works – and why it's so easy to maintain

The BioTabs principle is simple: Instead of adding nutrient salts daily, you work with an organic base in the substrate. The fertilizer tabletssupply nutrients over a longer period, while Startrex, Mycotrex, and Bactrexsupport soil life. The result: a setup that requires significantly less "management" in daily use.

Which BioTabs products do you really need?

1) The Basis (for almost every BioTabs setup)

  • BioTabs (tablets):organic long-term supply – the core.
  • Startrex:soil activator for a quick, stable start in the substrate.
  • Mycotrex:mycorrhiza support for roots and uptake.
  • Bactrex:microbe boost for watering / for an active soil environment.

2) Optional, but often useful

  • Orgatrex:organic liquid fertilizer/booster – practical if you want to add something in phases.
  • Bio PK 5-8:organic flowering booster – if you want to specifically support flowering.

Quick-Start in practice (without overthinking)

  1. Prepare substrate:Keep soil or soil-like mixture loose and airy.
  2. When planting:Incorporate Mycotrex into the planting hole, Startrex into the substrate.
  3. Insert tabs:Press BioTabs into the soil according to pot size (not directly against the stem).
  4. First watering:with a mixture of Bactrex + Orgatrex (start boost for soil life).
  5. After that, "Water Only" phase:predominantly only water for several weeks depending on the setup, only fine-tune later.

Automatic watering (AutoPot/Blumat): this keeps it stable

  • Airy substrate:In bottom-feed systems, loose, soil-like mixtures often work most stress-free.
  • No "swamp":Avoid waterlogging – organic works best with oxygen in the root area.
  • Water quality:Tap water is often sufficient; if you have widely fluctuating values, basic checks can help.

The 5 most common mistakes (and how to avoid them)

  • Too much too soon:BioTabs is a system – let it work first, then fine-tune.
  • Tabs incorrectly placed:Not directly at the stem, rather in the root area with some distance.
  • Too "dense" substrate:Compacted soil slows down roots and soil life.
  • Overwatering:Even in an organic setup: oxygen is mandatory.
  • Wild mixing:First run the basic BioTabs system cleanly, then use additives specifically.

FAQ – BioTabs fertilizer

Starter box or Perfect Plant Pack?

Perfect Plant Packis ideal for testing/small projects (compact, all-in-one). The Starterboxis the classic entry for multiple plants.

Can I use BioTabs with automatic watering?

Yes – that's exactly what it's often used for. Important are an airy substrate and a setup that avoids waterlogging.

Do I need pH/EC measurement?

With many organic setups, less control is needed than with mineral systems. However, if your water values fluctuate widely or you want to work very precisely, basic checks are helpful.
