The FLUXshield Babo 450C is designed for homogeneous illumination: The LED arrangement is chosen so that you get an even photon distribution even at a relatively short distance. In practice, this primarily helps with:

Vegetation mode (approx. 3550 K): very balanced, "sunlight-like", high color rendering (CRI > 95) – ideal for compact internodes and clean leaf development.

Flowering mode (approx. 3100 K): strongly red-emphasized, with switchable Far Red – practical for more "flowering focus" in small areas.
Pro tip: Many run the last 7–14 days a bit "stronger in flowering" (Flower + suitable dimming level) and pay particular attention to temperature/transpiration. This is exactly what measuring devices and stable climate control are worth their weight in gold for.

Start conservatively: For young plants, prefer to start with a low dimming level and increase it over 3–7 days. This avoids stress from too high intensity.

Consider distance + dimmer together: On 60×60 cm, you can achieve very high PPFD – often "hanging a bit higher + dimming a bit" is more even than "very close and full power".

Flatten the canopy: As even a surface as possible (shoots of equal height) yields measurably more output per watt in small areas.

60×60 cm is optimal. It can also be used for 80×80 cm, but then rather with adjusted distance and sensible dimming level (and realistic expectations for maximum PPFD at the edge).
What does the switchable Veg/Flower mode really do?
You can adapt the spectrum to the phase: Veg for balanced growth/high color rendering, Flower for more red content and bloom focus. This is particularly practical in small areas, because you don't have to "fight" the spectrum.
Is the lamp ready to plug in?
Yes. The board is fully assembled and delivered ready to plug in (including driver and connection cable).
How loud is the system?
The board itself is passive (no fan on the board). The noise level in your setup primarily depends on exhaust/circulation. For quiet setups: use suitable exhaust fans and decoupled mounting.
How high should I hang the lamp?
This depends on the phase, plant reaction, and dimming level. As a rule of thumb: prefer to start with moderate intensity, observe the reaction, and then optimize step by step (distance or dimmer – do not change both aggressively at the same time).
Can I operate the lamp in a humid environment?
The LED board is protected against moisture by an acrylic coating. Nevertheless: no direct water exposure, clean cable routing, and a stable climate (see climate control).
