How the THC Tester works

The PURPL PRO uses Near-Infrared (NIR). The device captures the optical signal of your sample, and the app calculates the values from it. For reproducible results, uniform sample preparation and regular calibration are crucial.

Application – 5 steps for better comparability

1. Calibrate: before series of measurements with the calibration cartridge according to the app instructions.
2. Finely grind the sample: uniform grind = more stable results (Tip: work cleanly & mix well).
3. Fill the sample holder: cover the measuring window completely.
4. Measure: start in the app – the result appears after a short time.
5. Measure multiple times: perform 2–3 measurements and average them (helps with inhomogeneous samples).
